“This connection we have isn’t going away, it’s only getting stronger. Because the more I spend time with her, the closer I want to be.” -Simone Elkeles

Goodreads’ Book Review:

When Brittany Ellis walks into chemistry class on the first day of senior year, she has no clue that her carefully created ‘perfect’ life is about to unravel before her eyes. She’s forced to be lab partners with Alex Fuentes, a gang member from the other side of town, and he is about to threaten everything she’s worked so hard for: her flawless reputation, her relationship with her boyfriend, and the secret that her home life is anything but perfect.

Alex is a bad boy and he knows it. So when he makes a bet with his friends to lure Brittany into his life, he thinks nothing of it. But soon Alex realizes Brittany is a real person with real problems, and suddenly the bet he made in arrogance turns into something much more.

In a passionate story about looking beneath the surface, Simone Elkeles breaks through the stereotypes and barriers that threaten to keep Brittany and Alex apart.

Valeria’s Review:

Perfect Chemistry, the first book that made me fall in love with YA Romance novels! I was given this book to read, because apparently I was told that I would love it…and they weren’t wrong about that!

Alex  is the confident, hot, bad boy. The guy in a gang who everyone fears and doesn’t care what anyone thinks of him. While Brittany on the other hand is the popular, little miss perfect girl in school that everyone wants to be. The girl who does care what people think of her and the judgements that will be made when they find out her life isn’t as perfect as she makes it out to be.

They are two completely different people, from two different worlds who meet and share more than chemistry class together.

At the very beginning of the story, I already wanted a relationship like Alex and Brittany were developing. Well, more like I wanted an Alex Fuentes in my life! Haha         The fact that both of them couldn’t stand each other but would do anything to annoy one another already had me laughing from the very beginning and wishing that I was in the same class as them just to see them go at it with their comebacks.

The writing in this book is flawless, it was such an AMAZING read and I loved the transitions of both POV’s in the book!  I was happy to know that after Perfect Chemistry the story continues with Alex’s brothers who each get their own story in this series, which I also read and absolutely loved!

I’ve reread this book twice and I wouldn’t mind starting it all over again. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves romance, or just wants the perfect book boyfriend!
