Terrified I’ll break her, I weave my arms around her and hug her back. My eyes shut when she settles furthering into me. I rest my cheek on her head and simply breathe.”   -Katie McGarry, Walk the Edge

Goodreads Book Description:

One moment of recklessness will change their worlds.

Smart. Responsible. That’s seventeen-year-old Breanna’s role in her large family, and heaven forbid she put a toe out of line. Until one night of shockingly un-Breanna-like behavior puts her into a vicious cyber-bully’s line of fire—and brings fellow senior Thomas “Razor” Turner into her life.

Razor lives for the Reign of Terror motorcycle club, and good girls like Breanna just don’t belong. But when he learns she’s being blackmailed over a compromising picture of the two of them—a picture that turns one unexpected and beautiful moment into ugliness—he knows it’s time to step outside the rules.

And so they make a pact: he’ll help her track down her blackmailer, and in return she’ll help him seek answers to the mystery that’s haunted him—one that not even his club brothers have been willing to discuss. But the more time they spend together, the more their feelings grow. And suddenly they’re both walking the edge of discovering who they really are, what they want, and where they’re going from here.

Valeria’s Book Review:

I don’t quite know where to begin…

Razor and Breanna. That’s all. That’s it!

The second book to the Thunder Road series had me so emotional and so consumed by these two characters that by the end of it, I was crying a river!

I was looking forward to continuing the series, and I dove in not expecting anything. I wasn’t going to judge it, or think negatively about it due to how the first book wasn’t my favorite and it hadn’t given me much hope for this one…but oh my gosh DID I LOVE IT!

“This is heartbreaking and consuming and addictive. It’s terrifying and peaceful, crazy and serene. It’s a million things in one brief moment and it’s something I don’t understand and never want to live without.”

I loved Breanna and Razor right from the beginning. They’re so different, yet so alike, and I loved seeing Breanna grow stronger and Razor soften up a bit throughout the book. Not to mention when the sweet and sexy parts in the book came up between them, I was all for it!

“I’m in love with you. This isn’t a memory, but a promise, do you hear me?”

Two different lives come together as one when Razor and Breanna realize that they need each other. The strength that they feel knowing that they could understand what each of them are going through in their own life makes it easy to see why they build such a strong relationship.

Walk the Edge shows us how people are characterized or seen as something they are not. Everyone is always judging each other, assuming that they fit into a certain category or class but everything isn’t what it seems.

“The boy everyone sees but nobody knows is with the girl who everybody knows but nobody sees.”

I love how Katie shows us that. How Razor, the hot sexy badass has his problems that have haunted him his whole life. And Breanna, the smart, over achieving student and daughter has her own problems and struggles every single day of her life.

“For once in my life, I’d love to be myself around everyone else and be accepted for who I am instead of staying silent for fear of people mocking me.”

This book is so well written and so emotional, that we can see how someone can be going through this exact same situation in their own life.It opens your eyes and makes you see that people have their struggles. Everything might seem fine on the outside, but no one ever really knows the real you.

“I’m searching for magic – not the Christmas morning type, but the type of magic that can be found by being courageous, being the girl who takes chances, being the girl who will dance. I want to be the girl who is seen.”

When both characters meet, it was as if they were meant to be with each other from the very beginning and you will understand why they need each other through it all.

“I promise I’ll take care of you,” he whispers. “You’re safe with me.”

Definitely my favorite couple so far in this series. I absolutely loved this book and  I highly recommend it!

It will make you laugh, make you smile, make you cry and even make you melt. This was an outstanding second book to the series and I’m eagerly waiting for more!!

Katie definitely  knows how to hit you right in the feels and let me tell you, this book is all about the feels! I cannot wait for the third book, which will continue with Violet and Chevy’s story.

I have the cover reveal posted and the synopsis on Book Announcements for you to check out!

      1. That’s awesome! That happens though, sometimes you just have to give the book another chance. I’m currently reading Saint Anything. I’ve heard good things about it so I decided to give it a try, but we’ll see how it goes!
